3D printing bootcamp Schedule
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Introduction to 3D Printing
- Overview of 3D printing technology and its applications
- Introduction to 3D modeling software and basic design principles
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: 3D Modelling Tutorial
- Students create simple 3D models using beginner-friendly software such as TinkerCAD
- Facilitators provide guidance on design techniques and troubleshooting
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: 3D Printing Demonstration
- Live demonstration of 3D printing, where students see their designs being printed
- Discussion on printing techniques, material usage, and safety
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
- Lunch provided
- Free play and relaxation time
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Advanced 3D Modelling Techniques
- Students explore another 3D modelling software called SketchUp
- Observe and discuss the printing process of more complex designs
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Personal Creation and Showcase
- Students design their 3D printed models for a simple keychain and discuss their design choices
- Reflection on what they learned and how they can apply these skills in future projects
- Photo/video taking of students and projects
Introduction
Students learn the basics of Minecraft Education Edition and coding by instructing the Agent to perform tasks using block-based programming tools like MakeCode. Through a series of hands-on coding challenges focused on farming and building structures, students enhance their problem-solving skills while working individually and collaboratively. By the end of the bootcamp, students will have gained valuable coding experience, shared strategies, and developed creative solutions in a fun and engaging environment.

- Students engage in coding challenges that instruct the Agent to perform tasks such as tilling, digging,and planting
- Facilitators guide students through problem-solving and debugging
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Individual Project
- Students work in individually to complete coding challenges
- Emphasis on discussion among peers and trying out different coding strategies
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
- Lunch provided
- Free play and relaxation time
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Coding Challenge - Agent Architure
- Students engage in coding challenges that instruct the Agent to perform tasks such as building structures and navigating obstacles
- Facilitators guide students through problem-solving and debugging
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Individual Project and Debrief
- Students work in individually to complete coding challenges
- Emphasis on discussion among peers and trying out different coding strategies
- Group discussion on strategies, what was learned, and how to improve programs
- Photo/video taking of students and projects
